KSA exists to establish and maintain a community that promotes Korean and Korean-American awareness through academic, political, and social activities by interacting with the surrounding communities both on and off campus.

TRACK 2

Korean Student Association (KSA)

As you think about college, you may have questions about how to apply, where to enroll for courses, and future career paths. We have designed an interactive workshop for students to connect with KSA and other high school students to answer any of these questions and others pertaining to college. KSA’s workshop offers insight on college preparation, campus life, and more!

Students of Color of Rackham (SCOR)

The SCOR Graduate Organization is a network for Rackham graduate and professional students at the University of Michigan. SCOR is dedicated to the social, cultural, and academic well being of students of color of African, Asian, Latino, and Native American descent. Further, we also include students of other cultures, ethnicities, and international origins. We promote, support, and sponsor efforts concerning the improvement of quality in our students’ academic, professional, and social lives respectful of cultural differences, disabilities, gender, and sexual orientation.

SCOR's arts-based workshop will explore our A/PIA identities through spoken, visual, and performance art and will provide a reflective space using the power of storytelling and using our voices to (re)create community and empowering narratives.

Black-Asian Coalition

Coalition Building

Black-Asian Coalition (BAC) is an informal group founded to bring together two communities who are not commonly in the same spaces, are often placed in opposition, and may have stereotypes/myths about each other. Our goal is to bring people into conversation, teach and learn our shared history, and help build lasting relationships through solidarity.

What does it mean to build coalitions? Why, how, and with whom do we build them? The Black-Asian Coalition co-organizers will facilitate conversations on the importance of working with different groups and learning about points of conflict as well as shared history between communities.
